Change is in the Air

Everything is new for me coming into 2019.

Change is in the air for us individually and for the Ecclesia. It is so exciting.

I will hit a milestone in May by turning 70 and it is 40 years, this year, I became a follower of Jesus Christ. My marriage has changed, life without my son has changed and our church is changing.  Heck I even have a new doctor this year.

In fact, I am different in many ways.  I am more reserved but friendlier, wiser but bolder, and more appreciative.  I have a fresh perspective on church and life in general.  I have shed my cocoon and I am becoming more than I can think or imagine.  There is a more excellent life in front of me.  Life is coming back into me. I have a church full of champions and I have loads of friends and adventures ahead of me. What more could a pastor want?

I bet you can examine yourself right now and see you are changing this year already.  It’s almost like God is accelerating us into a new adventure with Him.

I am also ready to embrace Hebrews 6 in its fullness and I hope you are also.

Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death,[a] and of faith in God, instruction about cleansing rites,[b] the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And God permitting, we will do so.”

Let’s embrace the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age. (Hebrews 6: 5) this year and let’s press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Phil.3:14)

This is our year to morph. Let us not be a chicken.  Let’s be that Eagle we were always meant to be.

Live Long and Prosper.

Loads of Hugs

Mary Jane
